Tough evergreen grass that flowers from late spring until the cool weather arrives. Best positioned with light behind it to shine through the tall flower spikes as it is this aspect that is the show stopper with Stipa. Full sun is best although it tolerates part shade without any noticeable reduction in flowering. Foliage to 0.6mH and 1mW. Flowering up to 2mH. Copes fine with dry soils once established.
