Eryngium variifolium (Moroccan sea holly)
Gorgeous marbled foliage on this eryngium makes it worthwhile growing for this alone. A smaller eryngium only reaching around 0.25mW and similar height, so best at the front of the garden bed. Develops a mound of basal foliage from which springs thistle like stems topped with greyish-purple flowers surrounded by large spiny, marbled sepals. Full sun to part shade.
