Eryngium agavifolium (Agave leaved Sea Holly)
An unusual eryngium with foliage having spines along the leaf edges, reminiscent of an agave. Don't let this dissuade you as it is a handsome plant with erect glossy green leaves that make a nice foil for silver foliage or smaller bun shaped plants. Tall spires of flower spikes are predominately green then soften to an off-white before they age to brown. These spikes last for some time, so don't rush to deadhead. If you love anything thistle like, you'll want this eryngium! 0.45mH x 0.30mW. Best with some afternoon shade in hot locations.
