A species with larger leaves and a more distinct foliage mound than Cephalaria dipsacoides. It also has flowers that are slightly larger and a deeper lemon colour. Overall gigantea is a plant with an obvious visual presence rather than blending into the surrounding foliage. This can be useful in cottage gardens or with shorter grasses such as Anemanthele, Stipa, Carex, Schizachyrium. Otherwise grow on the edge of a path or garden bed to allow its size to be on display. Flowers from early summer into late autumn. Full sun to some afternoon shade. A weekly water keeps the flowers coming during hot weather. 0.5mW x 1.8mH
