Anemone 'Honorine Jobert' (Japanese windflower; Japanese anemone; Windflower)
A vigorous grower that doesn't mind hot weather if it is given dappled shade and some water over the summer months. Spreading with rhizomatic rootstock, they do enjoy cool root runs so mulch is necessary. Mounding foliage up to 0.6mH is, in late summer, overtaken by tall stems of many fat buds that open into pure white flowers with gold stamens. An old anemone cultivar that has long been proven to perform in gardens. 1mH x 0.5mW. Dappled shade and lightly moist soil is best.
