Lonicera japonica purpurea (Lonicera japonica repens purpurea)
Evergreen honeysuckle that is a tendril climber, twining its way up a trellis, arbour or anything else suitable. Deep green foliage has a purple reverse to the leaf and also stems, offering some nice visual interest even when without flower. The flowers are produced in a large flush in spring with some spot flowering thereafter during the warmer weather. Pink, white and apricot flowers that are sweetly fragrant.
