Leonotis leonurus albiflora
A more socially acceptable colour is this leonotis, without the look-at-me luminosity of orange! Perhaps a little less dry tolerant and a little more tolerant of shade, flowering in a crisp, clean white. Starts flowering late spring for me but may be mid spring for those in warmer regions. Keep the soil lightly moist over the hotter months and prune off spent blooms to encourage new flowers. Great filler, screening plant or even can make a medium sized hedge. Prune back hard in late winter to maintain a dense foliage. Full sun to half shade. 1.8mH x 1.8mW (unpruned).
