This unusual vine comes from the northern regions of South America so it likes warm, frost free locations. Cold winters can burn the leaves (as seen in our photos), so needs to be in a protected location over winter. When happy it grows rapidly so feed and water well during summer and early autumn. Long racemes of purple flowers are produced from mid spring through to mid summer. Approx 3mH but may be larger in humid, moist locations. Full sun to part shade.
